Hello August. It’s the last half of summer and the living is easy!! Time for laid back days, moonlit nights, campfires, beach vibes, country fairs and summer flavours.
We have a lot of fun flavours for the end of summer. So, grab your beach bag, put on your flip flops and head on over to Sable Shortbread for some fun summer tastes. Our August shortbread selection includes some past favourites and some delightful new treats to take you through the dog days of summer. Summer isn’t complete without yummy fair food and we’ve got it covered with Cotton Candy Shortbread, Salted Caramel Popcorn Shortbread or perhaps Maple Toffee Nut Shortbread.
If sipping a summer cocktail is more your jam, then give a try to Tequila Sunrise or Pina Colada. Or, bite into a sweet and salty Margarita Shortbread. What?! Not into cocktails? Then give a try to one of our sweet and tart lemon flavours: try a Lemon Luxe, Strawberry Lemonade or Blueberry Lemon Shortbread cookie. In the drinks category, Cherry Cola is another annual favourite. Root Beer Float may be making a comeback as well.
Back for another year is Moon Mist, that iconic Nova Scotia treat. Our Moon Mist Shortbread is a combo of a Grape, Banana and Bubblegum swirled cookie topped with a matching Moon Mist buttercream. We add only natural flavours to our shortbread and our Moon Mist isn’t just the colour of Moon Mist – it is a naturally flavoured and coloured taste of summer. Maybe you’d rather the flavour of an Orange Creamsicle in a cookie, or a little Key Lime Pie in cookie form. There’s so many flavours to choose from, you’ll need the whole month just to try them all!!
Because we’ll be away for part of August selling our wares at the gift show in the Big Smoke, we’ll be sharing some of these favourite Summer Fun Flavours until after Labour Day so you’ll have a chance to grab some after we get back if you can’t make it into the store or out to a market before we leave.
